I know now that  "J.J." really stands for "Just Joy."  He's such a sweet, loving kit who's settling in so nicely.  He is shy (I like to think of it as a strong self-preservation instinct from his feral days), but is coming when I call his name, gives my legs lots of love, eats and drinks water well, uses litter pan without problem (so glad he "covers").  His grooming is immaculate!     J.J.'s already learned to love being by the fireplace, or out on the enclosed (screens and vinyl windows, of course), heated Carolina porch.  J.J.'s sister Katrina is enthralled with the youngster.  Katrina is healthy for her age of almost 18 years, and was lonely when she became the "only" kit after I had to have her 19 3/4 years old brother put to sleep.   I managed to get this pix below of J.J. the first afternoon, but now he just starts coming to me when he sees me so it's hard to get more pix!  I am so glad I saw J.J.'s pix in The Beacon, cause his website pix made him look too young for my home at this time.   So once J.J. becomes willing to sit/lie still for more pix, will send 'em on.                         Marjorie [2/6/2006]
Hi all at Cat Tails.  J.J. is the king of the house now.  He's actually taking naps, and lets me roam the house without having to be right with me.  His sister Katrina has advised that she's not his personal toy (so he's taken about 10 from the toy basket-find 'em all over the house/Carolina porch).  Of course, the 5:30a "J.J.'s gotta pounce on Mom mornings" do happen now and then!  J.J.'s just such a loving kitty.  Even if I say so myself, think he's got a pretty nice home now.  Ok, here's more recent pix:      Marjorie [2/19/2006]
Oh, boy!  Look at all those birdies!
I don't wanna sleep...just try to stay awake...
I just can't keep my eyes open...
Gotta keep an eye on the street
Here are some newer pictures of J.J. Macy-finally getting them sent for his "site."
He's such a sweet, sweet kitty.  Sadly, his 19-1/2 year old sister had to be put to sleep last week.  J.J. is a bed kit at night though he sleeps on the far foot of the bed.  He still pulls out lots and lots of toys from the toy basket so always have tons of kitty toys around, and does like a lap when he chooses.  He loves his catnip mice!
I couldn't ask for a more loving, dear kit.    Marjorie [9/19/2007]
 I am the King
Attention!  All catnip mice are mine!

Ah, wonder what I'll see today...what critters will arrive?

Am I cute enough?
Hi all,   J.J. is just the most delightful young man!  Thought you might like some more pictures for J.J.'s "site," especially with his "new" sister, Calli Katie....she had belonged to a very dear friend who was terminally ill, and asked me to take Calli which I did just a few days before my friend died.  Calli has a story, too, but that would be for another day...does the name "Katie" seem familiar to any of you there?  She rolls at the drop of a hat to have her belly rubbed...would like to have it done for hours on end.
Both kitties have begun bathing each other, and sleep with me...hold me in place.  Much to my surprise, both have been very good with all the Christmas decorations, tree included, which are, of course, "kitty safe" ones.  It's so hard to get good pictures of them 'cause they both come running to me when they see the camera!
Best regards to all,    Marjorie  [12/28/2007]
Day Calli moved in: J-man wonders, "Where's that new one?"  as he
investigates the toys with which she came.
Golly, what do you think we might see out there today?
